Lien Khuong Airport (DLI)

Lien Khuong Airport (DLI) is the primary aviation gateway to the scenic Central Highlands of Vietnam, serving the mountain resort city of Da Lat and the surrounding Lâm Đồng Province. The airport is famous for its distinctive architectural design, which is inspired by the "Mexican sunflower" or yellow wild sunflower, a flower that blankets the region during the blooming season. The terminal's roof and interior motifs reflect this local emblem, providing travelers with a visually striking and culturally resonant arrival experience.

The airport infrastructure was significantly upgraded in 2009 and reached a major milestone in June 2024 when it was officially recognized as the first international airport in the Central Highlands. The two-story terminal building spans over 12,400 square meters and is designed to handle up to two million passengers annually. It features a modern 3,250-meter runway capable of accommodating mid-sized jet aircraft like the Airbus A321 and Boeing 737, facilitating vital domestic connections to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as an expanding network of regional international charter flights.

Inside the terminal, passengers have access to a variety of modern amenities across both floors. The second floor houses the main departures area, featuring multiple check-in counters, secure boarding zones, and professional VIP lounges for business travelers. Facilities also include a dedicated nursery room, on-site pharmacies, and several restaurants serving both local Vietnamese delicacies and international light meals. Practical services such as ATMs, free Wi-Fi, and wheelchair assistance are readily available throughout the facility. For onward travel, authorized taxis and pre-booked shuttles are located just outside the arrivals hall, with the drive to the cool, misty center of Da Lat taking approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
