Bharatpur Airport (BHR) serves the Chitwan District with a single domestic terminal building that handles both arrivals and departures. The terminal features check-in counters, waiting lounges, and baggage handling facilities (currently manual/hand-search). While amenities are limited to basic snack shops and restrooms, the airport is a vital gateway for tourists visiting Chitwan National Park. A new, modern terminal building is currently under construction to expand capacity and improve passenger comfort.

Biratnagar Airport (BIR) is a key domestic airport in Nepal, providing essential air links for the eastern region. The current terminal offers basic facilities including check-in counters, a waiting lounge, restrooms, and small shops/food stalls. However, the airport is undergoing a major transformation with a new, state-of-the-art terminal building currently under construction. Expected to be operational by April 2026, this expansion will make it Nepal's largest domestic terminal, accommodating up to 550 passengers and featuring VIP/VVIP lounges, a children's play area, and customs/immigration sections for future regional international flights.
