Single terminal building with 3 floors - ground floor (arrivals/baggage claim), 1st floor (departures), 2nd floor (lounges/terraces). Two lounges airside: Marco Polo VIP Lounge (โฌ50 day pass, 05:00-22:00) and new Aspire Lounge (2025). Pharmacy, prayer room, accessible facilities, observation terraces. WiFi available in restaurants and lounges.
Multiple dining options 5:00 AM - 11:00 PM including Italian restaurants, wine bars, cafes. No 24-hour services. 11.6 million passengers (2024), so the terminal is busy but still organized around a single compact building rather than multiple concourses.
Venice Marco Polo is easy to navigate once you understand the split between air, land, and water transfers. If you are self-connecting on separate tickets, collect your bags, re-check them at departures, and leave enough time to clear security again before you head to the city or to another flight. For arrivals into Venice proper, the airport bus is the quickest land link, while the water bus and water taxi work better when your hotel is on the canals. The airport is efficient, but the city transfer still deserves real buffer time. Venice Marco Polo is where the water starts to matter, so the right choice is the bus to Piazzale Roma, the Alilaguna boat, or a water taxi depending on whether your hotel sits on the lagoon side, in Mestre, or inside the historic center. The boat pier is a short walk from the terminal, so luggage, weather, and ferry timing can matter more than the flight itself. If your hotel is deep in the canal network, the water taxi can save time, but for Mestre or Piazzale Roma the land bus is usually simpler and cheaper. Late arrivals should favor the simplest transfer, because canal-side navigation takes longer after dark.
