Placencia Airport (PLJ) is a primary domestic aviation hub serving the Placencia Peninsula in southeastern Belize, located approximately 2 miles north of the village center. The airport operates from a single, compact passenger terminal building designed for high efficiency and a relaxed, 'intimate' atmosphere. It acts as a critical infrastructure link, connecting the region's world-class beach resorts to the international hub at Belize City (BZE) via frequent daily scheduled services by Tropic Air and Maya Island Air. The terminal infrastructure provides essential amenities across its open-air and semi-enclosed layout, featuring a cozy waiting lounge and functional check-in counters located immediately at the entrance. Travelers have access to a small on-site café and snack bar that serves light refreshments, sandwiches, and beverages, alongside free Wi-Fi throughout the building.
