Osvaldo Vieira International Airport (OXB), also known as Bissau-Bissalanca Airport, is the primary international gateway to Guinea-Bissau, located approximately 6 miles (9 km) northwest of the capital, Bissau. The airport operates from a single, functional passenger terminal that handles all international and regional traffic. It is a critical infrastructure link, connecting the country to major West African hubs and direct routes to Europe, specifically Lisbon.

The terminal infrastructure provides essential amenities, including a restaurant on the top floor with views of the runway and a small bar/café in the airside departure area. Travelers have access to the Presidential Lounge near Gate 1, which typically serves business class passengers and elite status members. While on-site commercial options are limited, small shops offering local crafts and basic duty-free goods are available. Travelers are advised to carry sufficient cash (Euro or XOF) as card acceptance is inconsistent.

Ground transportation to central Bissau is well-supported by a rank of official blue taxis located directly outside the arrivals exit, with the journey taking approximately 15 to 20 minutes. While local minibuses (Toca-Tocas) also serve the airport area, they may be less convenient for passengers with significant luggage. The facility is fully accessible with ramps, though travelers are encouraged to bring their own pen for arrival forms and maintain a valid proof of Yellow Fever vaccination.
