Lampang Airport (LPT) is a charming domestic aviation facility serving the historic city of Lampang and the surrounding northern province in Thailand. Amenities at the terminal are basic but sufficient for domestic travel, featuring several small cafes and kiosks that offer local Thai snacks, refreshments, and travel essentials. The facility also provides modern conveniences such as free Wi-Fi and clean restrooms, reflecting its status as a growing regional hub. Due to its smaller scale, passengers often benefit from significantly shorter processing times compared to larger international hubs like Bangkok. Ground transportation to and from the LPT terminal is well-coordinated, with local taxis, tuk-tuks, and 'songthaews' providing quick connections into downtown Lampang in approximately 10 to 15 minutes. A unique feature of the airport is the occasional availability of the city's famous horse-drawn carriages for a scenic transfer to local hotels.
