Kochi Ryoma Airport (KCZ) is a modern regional aviation facility serving Kochi Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, Japan. Notably, it is the only airport in the country named after a historical figure, the samurai Sakamoto Ryoma, a pioneer of modern Japan. Located in Nankoku City, approximately 13 kilometers east of the Kochi city center, the airport acts as a primary gateway for travelers exploring the rugged Pacific coastline and the historical sites of the Tosa province. The facility features a sleek, three-story terminal building that blends functional efficiency with local cultural themes. The terminal's layout is vertically organized to optimize the passenger journey.
