Dodoma Airport (DOD) is the primary aviation gateway to Dodoma, the capital city of Tanzania. Looking toward the future, Dodoma's aviation landscape is set for a massive transformation with the ongoing construction of the Msalato International Airport. Located approximately 14 kilometers north of the city center, this new world-class facility is designed to replace the current airport and accommodate over 1.5 million passengers annually. Targeted for completion by 2026, Msalato will feature a 3,600-meter runway capable of handling large wide-body aircraft like the Airbus A330, significantly enhancing the capital's global connectivity. Until the new facility is inaugurated, Dodoma Airport continues to provide an efficient and welcoming entry point to the Tanzanian interior.
