๐บ๐ฆ Cherkasy, Ukraine
Cherkasy International Airport (CKC) serves the Cherkasy Oblast in central Ukraine. Historically a busy regional hub, the airport has undergone significant reconstruction in recent years, including repairs to the runway and terminal building. The current terminal is a small, functional structure designed to handle domestic and potential international charter flights. Facilities are basic, consisting of check-in counters, a waiting area, and administrative offices. IMPORTANT: As of 2024/2025, civil aviation operations in Ukraine are suspended due to the ongoing conflict. The airspace is closed to civilian traffic, and Cherkasy Airport is not currently handling scheduled commercial flights. The modernization projects, which aimed to restore full international service, have been impacted by the security situation. Travelers should note that the airport is effectively non-operational for civilian travel until further notice.
