If you are arriving from a Schengen country and connecting to another Schengen flight with a boarding pass already in hand and no checked luggage to re-collect, you can follow the 'Transfer' signs to remain airside. However, many flights at BTS are operated by low-cost carriers like Ryanair and Wizz Air, which typically do not offer protected connections, meaning most travelers will be performing a 'self-transfer' and must exit to the public area, collect bags, and check in again. For those heading into Bratislava, Bus 61 is the most efficient public transport option, connecting the airport to the Main Railway Station (Hlavná stanica) in approximately 25 minutes.
