Ai‑Ais Airport (AIW) serves the Fish River Canyon hot‑springs area in southern Namibia. Facilities are basic: a short runway and a very small terminal/office near the apron supporting charter and lodge flights. Passengers check in with the operator on duty and board on foot across the apron; arrivals collect baggage directly outside the building.

The layout is minimal and ground‑level. From the vehicle drop‑off to the terminal door is under a minute, and the walk to parked aircraft is typically 30–60 seconds. There are no buses or jet bridges; movements are escorted as needed.

Security is informal and consistent with local regulations; there are no on‑site immigration or customs facilities. International formalities are completed at larger Namibian gateways if required by an itinerary. Desert heat and winds can affect operations—carry water and plan for sun exposure when moving between buildings and aircraft.
