Pimenta Bueno Airport (PBQ), officially known as Aeroporto Municipal Euflávio Odilon Ribeiro, is a small regional aviation facility serving the municipality of Pimenta Bueno in the state of Rondônia, Brazil. The airport functions as a basic regional airfield and does not feature a formal commercial passenger terminal building. It serves as an important link for private pilots and general aviation, located approximately 4 miles (6 km) north of the city center. Facilities at the airport are extremely limited, reflecting its role as a minor domestic landing strip. There are no on-site commercial amenities such as retail shops, restaurants, or passenger lounges, and the waiting area consists of a modest administrative structure. Travelers and pilots are advised to be completely self-sufficient and to handle all logistical needs in the nearby Pimenta Bueno town center, as standard airport services like on-site refueling are generally unavailable. The airfield features a single 4,265-foot (1,300m) asphalt runway (04/22) and operates strictly during daylight hours under Visual Flight Rules (VFR). While regional carriers like Azul Conecta have explored scheduled links to Porto Velho, regular high-frequency commercial service is currently limited. Ground transportation is informal, with most travelers utilizing local taxis or private vehicle arrangements to connect to the city or nearby Cacoal Airport (OAL) for more extensive flight options.
