Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport (OVB)

Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport (OVB) is the largest aviation hub in Siberia, located in the town of Ob approximately 10 miles (16 km) west of the city center. The airport operates from a sprawling, modernized terminal complex that was significantly expanded in early 2023 with the opening of Sector C. This new section serves as the primary passenger hall, integrating domestic and international operations and featuring state-of-the-art check-in and security systems.

The terminal infrastructure provides a comprehensive range of amenities, including over 20 dining venues such as 24-hour cafes and traditional Russian eateries. International travelers in Sector B have access to extensive duty-free shopping, while Sector A houses various souvenir shops and 24-hour minimarkets. For enhanced comfort, the airport features multiple premium facilities, including the Grey Wall Lounge for international departures and a dedicated S7 Airlines Lounge for domestic travelers.

Ground transportation at OVB is well-developed, with regular bus and minibus (marshrutka) services connecting the terminal to the Novosibirsk-Glavny railway station and the city center.
