Ottumwa Regional Airport (OTM)

Ottumwa Regional Airport (OTM) features a modern passenger terminal facility completed in 2002, which serves as the primary hub for general and corporate aviation in Southeast Iowa. Located approximately 6 miles northwest of the city, the terminal provides a professional environment for travelers and flight crews, replacing the airport's original World War II-era operations building. It acts as a key base for regional aviation education and private charter services. The terminal infrastructure provides a variety of amenities, including a spacious passenger lounge, dedicated flight planning rooms, and high-speed internet access throughout the building. For pilots and crews, the facility offers a private lounge equipped with weather monitoring services, restrooms, and shower facilities. The airport is also home to the Indian Hills Community College aviation program, which utilizes specialized labs and classrooms within the terminal complex. Technical services at the field are managed directly by the City of Ottumwa, which operates as the on-site Fixed Base Operator (FBO). The facility provides full-service Jet A and 24-hour self-service 100LL fueling, alongside major airframe and powerplant maintenance. The airport grounds also house the Naval Air Station (NAS) Ottumwa Museum, preserving the site's history as a critical flight training base during World War II.
