Ormara Airport (ORW)

Ormara Airport (ORW), located in the coastal town of Ormara in the Balochistan province of Pakistan, currently functions as an inactive domestic aviation facility. While the airport is maintained by the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan, it has not handled regular scheduled commercial passenger flights for several years. The site primarily serves as a strategic technical stop and is situated in a region of significant military importance on the Makran Coast.

Due to its inactive status, the airport does not operate a staffed passenger terminal building for the general public. There are no on-site commercial amenities such as retail shops, restaurants, or passenger lounges, and standard airport services like active check-in counters or security screening for civilian travelers are currently unavailable. The facility acts more as a functional landing strip for government and military-related missions rather than a commercial transport hub.

The airfield infrastructure features a single bitumen runway (06/24) approximately 5,000 feet (1,523 meters) in length, situated at an elevation of 10 feet above sea level. It is located near the Jinnah Naval Base, a major installation for the Pakistan Navy, which contributes to the airfield's strategic relevance. Travelers to the Ormara region typically utilize the Makran Coastal Highway (N-10) for ground transport, as the nearest active commercial aviation hubs are Pasni and Gwadar.
