Mostar International Airport (OMO) is a small, single-terminal facility located approximately 4.6 miles (7.4 km) southeast of the city center in the village of Ortiješ. The compact terminal building is designed to handle both domestic and international traffic, serving as a primary gateway for pilgrims visiting the nearby site of Medjugorje. The arrival and departure zones are functionally separated within the same one-story space for efficient passenger flow. The terminal offers essential amenities, including a small cafe-bar in the public area and a duty-free kiosk after passport control that sells local souvenirs, perfumes, and beverages. Travelers have access to free Wi-Fi throughout the building, a UniCredit ATM in the arrivals area, and a currency exchange desk. For families, a dedicated mother and child room is located opposite Gate A2, and the facility is fully equipped with ramps and accessible restrooms. Ground transportation to Mostar is supported by a seasonal shuttle bus service that connects each flight to the city's main bus stations. Official taxis are also available outside the terminal, providing a quick 15-minute journey to the historic Old Bridge area. Additionally, several local car rental agencies maintain desks inside the terminal, and pre-booked private transfers to regional destinations like Sarajevo or Medjugorje are commonly utilized by arriving passengers.
