Nogales International Airport (OLS)

Nogales International Airport (OLS) is a public-use general aviation facility and a designated International Airport of Entry located approximately 8 miles northeast of Nogales, Arizona. The airport serves as a critical gateway for cross-border travel between the United States and Mexico, providing comprehensive services for private, corporate, and military aircraft. While it does not currently host scheduled commercial airlines, its infrastructure is designed to handle a steady flow of international traffic.

The terminal building houses the Fixed Base Operator (FBO), Copper Mountain Air, which provides a range of passenger and pilot amenities. These include a comfortable lounge with seating, workspaces, and refreshments, alongside essential services such as Avgas (100LL) and Jet A fuel, flight training, and assistance with local travel arrangements. The facility is typically attended during daytime hours, with after-hours support available on-call for visiting crews.

A key feature of the airport is the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) facility, located on the east side of the terminal. Managed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), this station is equipped to process aircraft with up to 20 passengers, facilitating efficient clearance for international arrivals. The airfield itself features a 7,200-foot asphalt runway (4/22) and sits at an elevation of 3,955 feet, requiring pilots to be mindful of density altitude during hot afternoon operations.
