Luzhou Yunlong Airport (LZO) is a premier 4D-class aviation facility located in the Yunlong District of Luzhou, Sichuan Province, China. Officially inaugurated in September 2018, it was constructed as a state-of-the-art replacement for the aging Luzhou Lantian Airport to meet the rapidly growing air travel demands of the southern Sichuan region. Situated approximately 17 kilometers north of the Luzhou city center, the airport functions as a dual-use military and civilian hub, playing a critical role in both regional logistics and the broader civil aviation network of Southwest China.

The passenger terminal is a significant architectural landmark, spanning approximately 30,000 square meters and designed to accommodate an annual throughput of 2.6 million passengers. Inside, the terminal offers a modern and efficient traveler experience, featuring eight boarding bridges, self-service check-in kiosks, and a range of VIP lounges. The facility is supported by a 2,800-meter runway capable of handling major narrow-body aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. As a domestic hub, LZO is served by 13 different airlines, including Air China, China Eastern, and Sichuan Airlines, connecting the city with over 30 major metropolitan centers across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

Ground transportation to and from Yunlong Airport is exceptionally well-organized, with a comprehensive network of shuttle buses connecting the terminal to the Luzhou Municipal Government, Longtouguan, and other key urban districts. For travelers heading to neighboring areas, direct long-distance shuttle services are available to Xuyong County and Chishui. Official taxi ranks are located immediately outside the arrivals hall, offering a swift 20 to 30-minute commute to the city center. The airport also features streamlined baggage handling and rapid security processing, ensuring that passengers can transition from ground to air with minimal delay. Travelers are encouraged to utilize the self-service check-in facilities, which typically close 40 minutes before scheduled departures.
