Luoyang Beijiao Airport (LYA) is a unique dual-purpose aviation facility situated approximately 10 kilometers north of Luoyang's city center in Henan Province, China. Serving as the primary gateway to the ancient capital and the UNESCO-listed Longmen Grottoes, the airport also functions as one of the world's busiest training bases for the Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CAFUC). Its 2,500-meter concrete runway supports a high volume of aircraft movements, facilitating both regional commercial flights and over 80,000 annual flight hours for nearly 600 student pilots based at the Luoyang Flight College. The passenger terminal is a modern, compact facility that was recently upgraded to handle an annual capacity of 1.5 million travelers.
