Laucala Island Airport (LUC) is an exclusive private aerodrome serving the COMO Laucala Island resort, one of the most secluded and luxury-focused destinations in Fiji. Situated on the northeastern coast of the private island, the airport provides a seamless and high-end entry point for guests, effectively functioning as a direct extension of the resort's world-class hospitality. Its 1,141-meter grooved concrete runway is equipped with modern lighting and PAPI systems, allowing it to accommodate day and night operations for light turboprops and mid-size private business jets. The terminal experience is characterized by extreme privacy and personalized service, beginning at Nadi International Airport (NAN) where the resort maintains a dedicated private lounge. Guests are met upon arrival at Nadi and escorted to this exclusive facility to wait for their connecting flight. On the island itself, the terminal building is designed for rapid and comfortable arrivals, featuring premium lounge areas and direct tarmac access. Uniquely, the airfield houses four specialized hangars, including one capable of serving as a nose dock for mid-size jets, and offers a range of ground support services such as oxygen and nitrogen supply for visiting private aircraft. Transportation from the airfield to the resort's villas is managed through a fleet of private luxury SUVs and electric golf buggies, ensuring a swift and scenic transition through the island's lush tropical landscapes. The primary mode of air travel to the island is the resort's own fleet of Beechcraft King Air B300/B350 aircraft, which provide a 50-minute VIP transfer from Nadi in a customized eight-seat leather interior. For those arriving via international private jet, the resort can arrange for customs and immigration officials to be flown to Laucala for direct clearance on-site. Travelers are advised that while the airport is highly capable, it does not provide on-site refueling, requiring all aircraft to coordinate fuel stops at Nadi.
