Gran Canaria Airport (LPA), also known as Las Palmas Airport, is a significant international aviation hub located approximately 19 kilometers south of the capital city, Las Palmas. The airport operates from a single, expansive passenger terminal building that efficiently manages domestic, inter-island, and international flights. The terminal is organized across two main levels, with the ground floor (Level 0) dedicated to arrivals and baggage claim, while the first floor (Level 1) houses check-in counters, security screening, and the primary departures zone. The terminal experience at LPA is distinguished by its divided boarding areas, tailored to different flight types. Zone A handles flights within the European Union and the Schengen Area, Zone B is dedicated to international non-EU flights, and Zone C manages the frequent inter-island services within the Canary Islands.
