Morava Airport (KVO)

Morava Airport (KVO), identified by its ICAO code LYKV, serves as a regional aviation hub for central Serbia, located in Kraljevo. The facility operates from a modern, 5,000-square-meter civilian terminal that was inaugurated in 2019, transitioning the site from its primary role as a military airbase. Designed to efficiently manage domestic and international traffic, the terminal features digital check-in systems and a dedicated duty-free shop managed by Dufry, providing a streamlined experience for travelers connected via national carrier Air Serbia. Inside the terminal, passengers have access to essential amenities including comfortable waiting areas, car rental desks, and basic refreshment services. One of the airport's most notable features is the provision of free parking for all passengers, a unique perk among Serbian international hubs. The facility manages a capacity of approximately 189 passengers at a time, primarily catering to year-round services to Istanbul and seasonal summer routes to Thessaloniki and Tivat, supporting the transport needs of the Raška and Moravica districts. Infrastructure at Morava is entering a significant expansion phase for the 2024–2025 period, focusing on the construction of a new 42,000-square-meter technical and logistics block. This project includes a new fire station, equipment garages, and a dedicated cargo center designed to leverage the airport's proximity to the upcoming Morava Corridor highway. Ground transportation is well-integrated with the terminal exit, with local taxi services and private vehicle access providing a quick connection to the Kraljevo city center, situated just 15 kilometers away, ensuring KVO remains a vital node for both regional commerce and the Serbian diaspora.
