Kosrae International Airport (KSA) is the primary aviation gateway to Kosrae State in the Federated States of Micronesia, uniquely situated on a reclaimed reef-flat artificial island near the village of Okat. Connected to the main island by a scenic causeway, the facility serves as a critical stop on United Airlines' renowned "Island Hopper" service, linking the remote island to major hubs like Honolulu and Guam. The airport operates primarily as a domestic and regional international entry point, featuring a single paved runway designated 05/23 that spans approximately 5,750 feet. The passenger terminal at Kosrae is a functional, single-story facility designed to manage the specific flow of trans-Pacific and regional travelers. Inside, passengers will find essential services including customs and immigration processing, a small check-in area, and a basic departure lounge.
