Nanchang Changbei International Airport (KHN) is the premier aviation gateway to Jiangxi Province in East China, currently undergoing a massive Phase III expansion project. As of early 2026, the airport has transitioned into a multi-terminal complex designed to handle over 20 million passengers annually, with a long-term goal of reaching 45 million. The facility acts as a critical node in China's regional aviation network, serving as the primary hub for Jiangxi Air and a significant base for major carriers like China Eastern and Shenzhen Airlines.

The airport's layout is organized into two primary passenger terminals: Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2). Terminal 1 is a specialized facility handling all international and regional flights (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) and has recently been renovated to include modernized customs and immigration zones. Terminal 2 is the much larger domestic hub, featuring a multi-level design with a spacious check-in hall on the upper level and arrival services on the ground floor.
