Jinnah International Airport (KHI) is the premier aviation hub for Pakistan, serving as the primary gateway to the commercial capital of Karachi. Passengers can relax in several premium lounges, including the 24-hour PIA Business Plus Lounge and the CIP (Commercial Important Person) Lounge, which offers business services, refreshments, and shower facilities. Ground transportation at KHI is well-coordinated with the city's urban infrastructure, located approximately 15 kilometers northeast of central Karachi. Licensed, metered taxis operate 24/7 from the arrivals hall, and several ride-sharing apps like Uber and Careem are widely used for reliable transport to downtown hotels. For those arriving by private vehicle, expansive outdoor parking lots are situated directly in front of the terminal building, with automated payment systems for convenience. Travelers are generally advised to arrive at least three hours before international flights and two hours before domestic departures to account for thorough security protocols and the multi-layered document verification checks common at Pakistan's primary international gateway.
