Kushinagar International Airport (KBK), officially recognized by its ICAO code VEKI, is a significant aviation gateway in the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Inaugurated in October 2021, the airport was specifically designed to facilitate international and domestic travel for Buddhist pilgrims visiting the Mahaparinirvana Temple and other sacred sites. The facility serves as a vital link in the Buddhist Circuit, connecting this holy city with major pilgrim-sending countries in Southeast Asia and East Asia, as well as Indian domestic hubs.

The airport features a modern, single integrated terminal building covering approximately 3,600 square meters, designed to handle both international and domestic passengers simultaneously. The layout is optimized for efficiency, with a capacity to manage up to 300 peak-hour passengers. The terminal includes a spacious check-in hall, a dedicated security hold area (SHA), and a streamlined arrivals section.
