Hattiesburg Bobby L. Chain Municipal Airport (HBG) is a historic public-use general aviation facility located approximately 7 kilometers southeast of downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Originally opened in 1930, the airport has a rich heritage, having served as a primary training base and antisubmarine patrol station during World War II. Today, it is owned and operated by the City of Hattiesburg and serves as a vital transportation hub for corporate, military, and private aviation in the Pine Belt region.
