Grozny Airport (GRV), officially designated as Akhmat Kadyrov Grozny International Airport, is a major aviation hub located approximately 7.5 kilometers north of the city of Grozny in the Chechen Republic, Russia. It serves as a vital international gateway for the North Caucasus region, providing critical connectivity for domestic travel within Russia and regional international routes. The airport is currently the focus of an ambitious modernization program aimed at transforming it into one of the most advanced and aesthetically striking transportation facilities in the country, reflecting the region's rapid development and growing importance in the national transport network.

The facility currently operates from a single, well-organized terminal building, but a massive new terminal designed in the shape of a crescent is under active construction. This upcoming state-of-the-art facility, expected to be completed by late 2025, will feature a two-level scheme to optimize passenger flow by clearly separating departure and arrival zones. The expansion project also includes the construction of a new 3.2-kilometer runway and four modern jet bridges capable of serving up to 12 aircraft simultaneously. These upgrades are designed to increase the airport's capacity to 1.5 million passengers per year, ensuring a high-quality experience for all international and domestic travelers.
