Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX)

Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX/ZGHA) is the primary aviation hub for Hunan Province, China, and one of the busiest airports in the central region of the country. Located approximately 25 kilometers east of downtown Changsha, the airport serves as a critical gateway for regional and international travel, connecting Hunan with major cities across China, Southeast Asia, and beyond. It is a major base for several Chinese carriers, including China Southern and Xiamen Airlines, and plays a vital role in supporting the province's rapid economic and industrial growth.

The airport features a two-terminal complex consisting of Terminal 1 (T1) and the much larger Terminal 2 (T2). Terminal 2 is a modern, high-capacity facility that handles the majority of the airport's domestic and international passenger traffic, while Terminal 1 has been recently renovated to support specialized regional and low-cost operations. Navigating through the airport is facilitated by clear signage and efficient transport links, including a high-speed maglev line that connects the airport directly to the Changsha South Railway Station in just 19 minutes.
