Lampson Field (CKE)

Lampson Field (CKE) is a public general aviation airport located near Lakeport in Lake County, California. It does not handle scheduled commercial airline traffic. The "terminal" facilities are centered around pilot and visitor needs rather than mass passenger processing. A pilots' lounge is available, offering restrooms, complimentary snacks, coffee, and flight planning computers. For visitors and the general public, the airport is home to "Red's" restaurant, a local eatery with an outdoor patio that offers views of the runway and apron activity. Several aviation businesses are located on-site, providing aircraft maintenance, repair, and fuel services (Avgas and Jet A). There are no TSA security checkpoints or boarding gates typical of commercial airports. Access to the hangars and ramp is generally restricted to pilots and authorized personnel.
