Breves Airport (BVS) is a critical regional aviation facility serving the city of Breves, located on the southwestern part of Marajó Island in the state of Pará, Brazil. As one of the most important transportation nodes in the Amazon delta, the airport provides a vital link for a region where overland connectivity is non-existent and river travel can take several days. It serves as a primary aerial gateway connecting the island’s residents and industrial workers with the state capital, Belém, and other remote Amazonian municipalities. Azul Conecta is the primary commercial carrier at the airfield, utilizing rugged turboprop aircraft to manage the approximately 75-minute flight to Belém.
