Bafoussam Airport (BFX), serving the capital of Cameroon's West Region, is a modernized regional aviation hub that underwent extensive redevelopment in preparation for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. The departures hall features a centralized ticketing area and a modernized security checkpoint, leading to a comfortable boarding hall. The airport's infrastructure also includes a significant freight handling capacity of 20,000 tons, reflecting its role as a logistical center for the West Region's export of coffee and other highland produce.
