Avalon Airport (AVV) serves as a secondary airport for the greater Melbourne region, strategically located near Lara, Victoria, between Melbourne and Geelong. It is a unique facility, combining scheduled low-cost carrier passenger services (primarily Jetstar Airways) with extensive industrial aviation activities, including significant aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. Avalon is also famously the permanent home of the Australian International Airshow.
