Talladega Municipal Airport (ASN) is a public-use aviation facility located in Talladega County, Alabama, approximately 10 miles from the city center. The airport is a critical piece of local infrastructure, primarily serving general aviation, flight training, and corporate travelers. It is most famous for its strategic proximity to the Talladega Superspeedway, becoming one of the busiest airports in the Southeast during NASCAR race weeks when it handles hundreds of private and charter aircraft movements.

The terminal building serves as a modern Fixed Base Operator (FBO) hub, offering a range of services for pilots and passengers alike. Inside, visitors can access a comfortable waiting lounge, a dedicated flight planning room with current weather reporting, and administrative offices. The facility is staffed on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing full-service 100LL and Jet A fueling, though automated self-service fuel is available 24 hours a day for transient pilots.

The airfield infrastructure features a single 6,032-foot asphalt runway (04/22) equipped with high-intensity runway lights and an Instrument Landing System (ILS). While the airport does not have a permanent control tower, a temporary tower is often established during major racing events to manage the surge in traffic. The terminal also provides tiedown parking and hangar storage, ensuring a secure environment for based aircraft and visiting corporate jets participating in the region's industrial and sporting activities.
