Attopeu International Airport (AOU) in Laos is **no longer in commercial operation**. Commercial flights ceased in October 2016 due to low passenger demand, and the airport was officially closed for civilian use in 2017, subsequently handed over to the Lao People's Liberation Air Force in 2022. During its operational period, the airport featured a basic 4,300 square meter terminal designed to handle approximately 300 passengers per day, offering a comfortable waiting area and restrooms. Amenities for travelers were minimal, with limited food and shopping options. As the airport is now a military facility, public access and services are no longer available.
