๐Ÿข Terminal Information

Juba International Airport serves as South Sudan's primary gateway with a modern terminal building inaugurated in October 2018, replacing previous tent-based facilities. The single terminal handles approximately 1,300 passengers daily across arrival and departure sections, with capacity for 500 passengers simultaneously. Arrival facilities include customs and immigration counters, baggage claim area, and ground handling services, while departure areas feature check-in counters, security screening, boarding gates, duty-free shops, and restaurants. The airport operates with enhanced security measures implemented in 2024, restricting facility access following previous incidents. Immigration requires printed visas and yellow fever documentation, with all procedures conducted manually. The airport processes an average of 60 aircraft movements daily including UNMISS, UNHAS, and commercial flights. Despite recent upgrades, infrastructure remains constrained by increasing passenger and cargo volumes, with no dedicated cargo terminal. The facility features a 3,100m runway extended from 2,400m to accommodate larger aircraft operations.
