Koroba Airport (KDE), also identified by its ICAO code AYOW, is a small domestic aviation facility serving the Koroba district in the Hela Province of Papua New Guinea. Situated at a high elevation of approximately 5,638 feet (1,719 meters) above sea level in the Southern Highlands, the airport serves as a critical lifeline for the remote Highland communities. The facility is primarily used for mission aviation, government service delivery, and emergency medical evacuations, providing an essential link in a region where road infrastructure is frequently impassable.
