The airport processes a high volume of European traffic, particularly from France and Spain. Terminal 1 is predominantly used by Royal Air Maroc and its Oneworld partners, while Terminal 2 handles most other international carriers. The terminals are connected by a walkable airside corridor, making transfers relatively straightforward without the need for shuttles. All transit passengers must pass through a security screening filter located within the transit zone. During peak hours, these checkpoints can become bottlenecks, so it is recommended to have a minimum connection time of at least 90 to 120 minutes, even if shorter windows are legally permitted. If you do not have your onward boarding pass, you should visit the Royal Air Maroc transfer desk situated in the transit hall before proceeding to your gate. For passengers with longer layovers, Royal Air Maroc provides specific amenities. Layovers between 4 and 8 hours typically qualify for a free meal voucher, redeemable at the food court. If your layover exceeds 8 hours, you may be eligible for a complimentary hotel stay arranged through the Transit & Lodging agency in Terminal 2.
