Ground transport is efficient; the 'VinBus' (Routes 17 and 19) provides a direct public link between the terminal and the Grand World and Vinpearl resort areas every 30-60 minutes (free for many resort guests). Official taxis (Mai Linh, Vinasun) meet every scheduled arrival and reach the main Long Beach hotels in 15-20 minutes for roughly 150,000-250,000 VND.
Motorbike taxis (Ojek) are also plentiful outside the gates for an affordable solo city link. Many major resorts provide complimentary airport shuttles, so confirm your booking details The provincial bus and shared-vehicle chain is what makes the airport workable, so the transfer into town should be thought of as part of the flight plan.

Currently, the airport is primarily linked to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) via daily flights operated by VASCO, a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines, using ATR-72 turboprop aircraft.
For travelers arriving from Ho Chi Minh City, a connection window of 60 to 90 minutes is more than sufficient, as the entire check-in and security process can often be completed in less than 15 minutes. A critical consideration for travelers is the airport's upcoming modernization project; CAH is scheduled to be temporarily closed for a massive expansion and runway upgrade from approximately October 2025 through October 2026. During this period, all commercial flights will be suspended, and passengers will need to use Can Tho International Airport (VCA) as an alternative gateway.
Facilities at the current terminal are basic, with a few small kiosks in the landside area offering local coffee and snacks, so it is advisable to have a meal before heading to the airport.
