๐ข Terminal Information
Brunswick Executive Airport (NHZ) is a premier general aviation facility serving the town of Brunswick and the Midcoast region of Maine. The terminal is a modern and functional building, converted from the former Naval Air Station Brunswick, that primarily caters to private pilots, corporate aviation, and flight training. it is a critical hub for the regional economy, supporting the local business community and providing a base for various aviation-related services, including aircraft maintenance and fueling.
Inside the terminal, passengers have access to standard general aviation amenities, including a waiting lounge, administrative offices for airport management, and a variety of pilot services provided by the fixed-base operator (FBO). There are no substantial on-site dining options, but travelers can find a selection of local snacks and refreshments. The airport plays a vital role in the regional economy, supporting the local industrial, educational (Bowdoin College), and tourism sectors, and providing a base for flight schools and emergency services.
Ground transportation to Brunswick town center and the surrounding Midcoast area is typically managed via local taxis and pre-arranged rental cars. The airport's location near the Maine coast offers travelers unique views of the surrounding forests and the urban outskirts of Brunswick during arrival and departure. It remains an essential infrastructure point for the connectivity and development of the Midcoast region, supporting both social and commercial aviation needs. Arriving at Brunswick Executive offers a professional and welcoming entrance to this important cultural and educational center of Maine.
๐ Connection Tips
Brunswick Executive Airport (NHZ) is a straightforward general-aviation airport, so the key connection decision is really how you want to get into Brunswick, Bowdoin, Bath, or the wider Midcoast once your private or charter flight lands. That said, NHZ only works well when you treat it like a private-aviation facility and not like a miniature commercial airport. The best connection here is simply a pre-arranged ground handoff that turns the airport's small scale into an advantage
The airport authority emphasizes its role as a GA and business-aviation field rather than a scheduled-passenger terminal, which means you should have the car, rental, or pickup arranged in advance through the FBO or your operator. Know which FBO is handling your arrival, keep your ground contact informed, and if your destination is farther up the Midcoast or onto the islands, remember that the air leg may be the easy part compared with the final road or boat segment.
The drive into downtown Brunswick is short, and that convenience is the airport's main strength: you are arriving close to where you actually want to be rather than funneling through Portland first. For public airline service, Portland remains the normal gateway; for charters and private aircraft, Brunswick is excellent precisely because it is quiet and local.

๐ข Terminal Information
Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) is the primary international airport serving New Mexico, located just three miles southeast of downtown Albuquerque. The airport boasts a distinctive Pueblo-style architectural terminal, which is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. This single, multi-level terminal efficiently manages all arrivals and departures, featuring a logical layout designed for passenger convenience. The lower level is dedicated to arriving passengers, housing baggage claim areas (three in total to serve Concourses A and B) and providing direct exits to ground transportation.
The upper level of the terminal is the departure zone, where travelers will find airline ticketing counters, security checkpoints, and access to the two main concourses, Concourse A and Concourse B. Concourse A primarily serves American Airlines, Delta, and United, while Southwest Airlines predominantly operates out of Concourse B. The terminal has a total of 22 gates, ensuring ample capacity for its scheduled domestic flights and limited international services. Recent upgrades include a TSA Checkpoint Terminal Connector Project, which has enhanced security screening with up to four lanes and modern passenger amenities like new escalators and elevators.
Amenities at ABQ are comprehensive for a regional international facility. Passengers can enjoy free Wi-Fi, numerous charging stations, a variety of shops (including those offering local artisanal gifts), and diverse dining options ranging from cafes and fast-food outlets to restaurants serving New Mexican cuisine. Additional facilities like a Meditation Room and an observation deck contribute to a comfortable travel experience, complemented by a notable art collection displayed throughout the terminal.

Route 50 also connects to the Alvarado Transportation Center downtown where passengers can transfer to the New Mexico Rail Runner Express.
Rail Runner connections are enhanced through Route 350 (Railrunner Connecting bus) and free bus transfers when you have a valid Rail Runner ticket purchased in advance online or via mobile app - otherwise pay the driver a $1 fare each way. Official taxi service is available with fares starting at $35 to downtown Albuquerque through companies like ABQ Metro Taxi (505-450-8580) and Aspen Rides (505-388-3692).
